In this master class I will tell in detail how to make a simple pencil case from scrap materials, using the basic techniques of patchwork. No special skills or materials for work you do not need, how to sew, I suggest using what is at hand in almost every home, namely the old jeans.
You will need:
- denim fabric (cut two with dimensions 26×12 cm each)
- the same size piece of fabric for the lining
- a similar piece of batting
- thread, needles, scissors, wax crayon
- zipper (length 25 cm)
- decorative buttons, beads, patches, etc.
- sewing machine (if available)
How to make a pencil case with his own hands
To make a pencil case from old jeans turned out quite soft and dense to protect from impacts everything you put inside, one layer of fabric will not be enough. Tip: denim is a fairly durable material whose appearance subtle fading does not spoil. A few small areas you can always cut out pervasice or fray jeans, in addition, this decor is perfect for a pencil case, both girls and boys.
To cut out 2 parts from each type of fabric, the blank of denim jeans may be approximately 0.5 cm larger than the other on each side.

When the padding is ready, you can think about the decoration of the front of the pencil case. You can use for these purposes any buttons, badges, ribbons and all that will be on hand. For example, I sewed on both sides for a few decorative buttons under color of lining.

The lining is pre-bent or tacked on edge to the reverse. The procedure is repeated on both sides absolutely the same.
