Figure skater Denis ten was stabbed in Almaty. 19 July, 25-year-old noticed how attackers are trying to remove the mirror from his car. The young man tried to stop the criminals, but was stabbed several times in the thigh, which later died in the hospital.

The bronze medalist of the Olympics in Sochi was taken to the Central city hospital of Almaty right after the attack. Doctors have estimated its condition as critical – he lost more than three liters of blood. More than two hours doctors fought for his life, but after spending some time in intensive care, the athlete died. According to the acting chief physician of the Yerzhan Kultygina, Denis was hospitalized in a state of clinical death.

The tragedy shocked not only many fans of Dennis, but also his colleagues. So, the celebrated coach Tatiana Tarasova called tena one of the most promising athletes of his generation.

“What could be comments? Brutally murdered Denis Ten – the man of great talent, our friend, one of his favorite students. An amazing person and friend,” – said Tatiana Tarasova.

Recall that Denis Ten won not only a bronze medal at the 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi, but also the silver medal of the world Championship 2013. As of February 2017, he held ninth place in the ranking of the World skating Union and was rightly considered the most famous figure skater of Kazakhstan.
