For the role in the film Vladimir Bortko “love” the actor had to learn Chinese: its hero — a young Professor-sinologist. “To thoroughly examine the language was not necessary, it would take half a lifetime, but the basics I have mastered, says Chadov. — To learn one page of text in Chinese, it took me two whole weeks! I used to study languages associative method, but here to use this method was impossible. So I just memorized the text by heart. And counselors helped me cope with the pronunciation. You know, the articulation of these sounds is similar to meditation. A language completely out of organic matter of the Russian people, so the people who are so deeply immersed in the culture of another country, are of great interest and surprise. It’s hard to imagine yourself in their place. I, as they say, where born there and handy, and can’t learn a foreign culture. So my character, Sasha, he’s a completely different person.”
