“Sergey Shnurov is an interesting character, worthy of attention. He has amazing songs, the charisma, the clips that personally I was very impressed. And most importantly: in his work I find a reflection of modern society. Here is today’s Russia, it’s what draws the Cord in his videos-cartoons. These caricaturists were Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov, the authors of the “Golden calf” and “Twelve chairs”, and Mikhail Zoshchenko. In principle, in our country there is a long tradition to make fun of a caricature of the phenomenon in society. So the Cord has chosen the right path. And his songs are wildly popular. Of course, he is a master of the outrageous. The famous foul-mouthed. But today, many people use foul language. Some who do without it can’t live. Personally, I never use foul language, but spoke with some of the stars of Russian show business, who speak only in this language. They should insert obscene word, because they think that without it to explain the situation fail. So the image of Sergei Shnurov did not bother, I think he is very talented, creative people with an amazing gift: he understands everything about the time in which we live, and is able to find the exact words to Express themselves.
