Journalists report that 63-year-old Valery Garkalin was feeling unwell and did not come on the scene of Theatre of young spectators in Irkutsk. The actor was supposed to play one of the roles in the play “the passion of Apollo” together with Irina Lacinai and Alexander Nosik.

Before the beginning of the play the audience declared emergency replacement of the main actor. The reasons why it happened did not specify.

“Valery Borisovich Garkalin was urgently hospitalized in the Institute Sklifosovsky. In the play it will replace the theatre and cinema actor Anatoly Zhuravlev”, – asked the speaker to inhabitants of Irkutsk.

According to journalists, Garkalin is in a medical facility for several days. Colleagues said that the actor has a cold, so was forced to take time off from work. According to them, Valery Borisovich lung problems.

“Yes, sick people, – told Anatoly Zhuravlev, emerged on the scene instead of Garkalin. – We very much hope that all right. I think he had pneumonia. Caught somewhere on the road.”

“Today was so anxious to pass by the place where he was killed by Alexander Vampilov. Just yesterday we were in the Alara district, where he lived, where he spent his childhood and youth. I went to his home which is now a Museum,” added the actor.

Zhuravlev believes Vampilov brilliant playwright. The actor was genuinely surprised when I saw how simply he lived a famous writer.
