Materials and tools for making a table:
- the sheet of chipboard thickness of 16 mm (sheet size choose in accordance with the magnitude of the countertop)
- 3 or 4 leg mounts (can be bought in specialty stores)
- reciprocating saw or jigsaw
- screwdriver
- a nail, a hammer, a thin string
- spray paint
- pencil
- sandpaper
How to make coffee table
Locate the center of the sheet of hardboard. Center the easiest way to find, drawing two diagonals and noting the point of their intersection.
In the center of the sheet hammer a small nail. To the nail tie a thin rope.
The other end of the rope tie to the pencil. Using such a device you will be able to mark on the sheet smooth circle.
If you want to make a table with a round top, this layout can be completed. If you want to make a table of the original form, part of the circle can be cut to form a figure that looks like a kidney bean.
Cut out the countertop on the markup using saber saws or jigsaws.
Carefully apply the sandpaper to the edge of the countertop.
Now we need to fix the legs. Their locations you can choose at their discretion, the main thing to remember about the stability of the table.
Secure the legs with screws. If you are inclined, make sure that they are tilted from the center of the countertop to its edges.
Now you can start painting the table. If you want the legs left unpainted, cover them with plastic bags and secure them with tape.
