The singer, whose voice is easily recognizable from the first notes, and whose crazy energy and incendiary dances literally blew up the stage, died the day before in her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland. According to media reports, she died after a long illness – Turner was battling cancer. Tina's official representative said that with her departure, the world has lost a real legend of music: “With her musicality and boundless lust for life, she won the love and recognition of millions of fans around the world, inspired future stars.”

Tina Turner, whose real name is Anna May Bullock, was born in the USA, but was considered not only an American, but also a Swiss performer. Her childhood was spent on a farm, where she picked cotton from an early age with her sisters, and also attended the church choir, where, in fact, her path to music began. Tina's father beat her mother, and one day she simply ran away from home, leaving her children behind. Then they went to live with their grandmother, but at the age of 16, the future singer managed to move in with her mother. At 18, she met musician Ike Turner at a nightclub and asked to be allowed to sing in his band Kings of Rhythm. A little later, Tina had an affair with Kings saxophonist Raymond Hill – in 1958 she gave birth to his son Craig, but Hill broke off relations with her before the child was born.
In 1960, Tina recorded her first hit “A Fool in Love” with the support of Ike, at the same time they began an affair. In 1961, their only joint child, Ronald, was born, and a year later the couple got married.

Interestingly, according to Hayk himself, he was married at least 14 times – all because of his violent nature and drug addiction. He made Turner a star, but demanded a high price for it – the singer almost became his property: he constantly beat her, splashed hot coffee in her face, took away expensive jewelry, and once completely broke her jaw. The star was practically broken mentally and physically, began to hate music and wanted to commit suicide. Nevertheless, willpower took over and Tina still left Ike, though only in 1976, the divorce itself took place two years later.

An incredible return to the stage happened in 1984 – then Tina recorded one of her biggest hits “What's Love Got to Do With It?” and released an album. After 4 years, she got into the Guinness Book of Records – almost 190 thousand spectators came to her concert in Brazil. In 1989, the composition Simply The Best thundered all over the world. Tina has released 9 studio albums, received eight Grammy awards and many other awards, recorded hit duets with popular artists. Her career ended in 2009 with a big world tour.

B In 1986, she met her second husband, producer Erwin Bach – their wedding took place after 27 years of marriage, in 2013.

A month after marriage, Tina suffered a stroke and learned to walk again. In 2016, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Due to improperly selected drugs, kidney failure developed and she needed a transplant – Erwin donated his kidney.
