Buckingham Palace has officially confirmed the information that the husband of Queen Elizabeth II — Prince Philip was admitted to the London hospital on Friday and today he was discharged.
On Tuesday 24 December 2019, the Royal person was seen coming out of the hospital king Edward VII at about 9 o’clock in the morning, before spending four nights in the institution to undergo preventive treatment already existing disease.
After discharge, Prince Philip was transported by helicopter to Sandringham house in Norfolk, England, to join his wife, Queen Elizabeth, for the coming Christmas holidays.
“The Duke of Edinburgh today left the hospital after discharge, his doctor, and now quietly returned to Sandringham for Christmas,” reads the statement of the Palace. “His Royal Highness is grateful to all who sent their good wishes for a speedy recovery and discharge home!”
Palace officials did not report details about the state of health of Prince Philip today and what specific help needed 98-year-old Royal. However his son, Prince Charles told reporters that it is connected only with the age issue, nothing more.
“When you reach that age, everything is not working as well as we would like!”, he said in the Monday edition of the “Associated Press”.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the husband of Queen Elizabeth was admitted to the emergency Department of a London hospital Friday.
“This morning the Duke of Edinburgh sailed from Norfolk in the hospital of king Edward VII in London for observation and treatment, the admission is a precautionary measure on medical advice His Royal Highness”, — reads the statement of the Palace.
A Royal source reported to all compassionate people that Prince Philip was not necessary to bring to the hospital on the ambulance.
“It was a pre-appointed visit of the monarch, and he entered the hospital unassisted,” as has informed a source confirmed.
Meanwhile, the 98-year-old monarch after the hospital went to the annual train trip from London to Norfolk, where the couple traditionally holds the celebration of Christmas.
Prince Philip, who resigned in August 2017, in recent years, faced with health problems. He abruptly canceled his visit to a traditional Church service in the Monastery, which he had to attend in March 2018. Philip also missed Easter Sunday service last year, before the announcement that he had surgery on the hip.
Royalty was also absent from the celebration of Trooping the Color ceremony trooping the colour and the official celebration of the birthday of the monarch of the United Kingdom since his resignation.
