Continuing the work of his father, a son of Karen Shakhnazarov, Ivan has managed to prove that nature on children of talented people has a rest not always. Biography

Ivan was born in the third marriage of a famous film Director Karen Shakhnazarov and actress Daria Maiorova, broken, like the first two, but the father was always present in the life of Ivan, and his opinion always was and remains a key for my son.

Their relationship is actually more reminiscent of the interaction between the student and teacher Ivan always listens to the advice of his father and tries to follow them. So, Karen G. was instilled son a love of reading – Ivan with a father gets great enjoyment from reading books, which draws inspiration, preferring the classics.

Ivan said that his decision to become a Director is not depended on whose son he is, he just grew up in an atmosphere of creativity and he loved painting his father.

Secondary education Ivan received in the school with an economic bias, in parallel was engaged in drama school, and got enormous pleasure from it.

After high school he enrolled in VGIK at the Department of directing – he chose this profession, although initially thought about the acting profession, playing a cameo role in two movies of his father, and later had roles in the projects of other Directors, for example, in “Elusive,” which Shakhnazarov played one of the main characters.

In his student years he made his first educational film – the picture lasted ten minutes and was called “Without words”. This little film about the war was a success and received recognition at a student film festival. Later, there was another project called “Author’s method”. On the basis of his thesis film “the Rock” Ivan Shakhnazarov shot the feature-length tape, and worked more on one movie – “the Chronicles of pawnshop.”

Ivan can be an example of health even from College to prove to everyone that he was no Director on the coattails of a famous father, but by vocation, Shakhnazarov had a lot to remove, proving his aptitude.

He always wanted his films have been compared with the paintings of his father, while Ivan does not seek to be like him.

“I think my father’s views on the movie is still a little different. What I do now, slightly different from what father had done,” says the young Director.

He admits that the famous name often helps him, but he feels a lot of responsibility, afraid to fail and not live up to expectations.

About my personal life Ivan tries not to tell, but in one of his interviews shared that he has a girlfriend, but the family Shakhnazarov does not reflect yet – now for his first job.
