Fashion week in new York is coming to its climax today, perhaps one of the most saturated impressions days. His spring-summer collection already presented designer prabal Gurung. The show, held in decorated with colorful flags Spring Studios, turned out to be bright: on the catwalk walked sisters Hadid, Joan Smalls, Winnie Harlow and Presley Gerber, the collection sang of the diversity of cultures. Color was for the designer of a universal medium of expression, a language that erases the gap between cultures and borders between people. His collection Gurung called nomad’s journey through different countries and cities — he drew his inspiration in the contrasts of his travels from his native Nepal to urban Tokyo, London, Paris and new York.
The starting point for the collection was the traditional dress of Tharu peoples living along the border of India and Nepal. Multicolor skirt with a distinctive draperies at the waist, the combination of variegated hues — all Gurung reinterpreted in a modern athletic silhouette, adding cargo pants, parkas and the classic for this style of detail as the drawstring laces. Found in the collection place and the actual neon colors — think the colors of the markers still stay in our wardrobe for more than one season.

On the catwalk presented the men’s collection, debut for the designer. It is based on the suits of jackets and breeches, bombers with patchwork, loose trousers, complemented by long capes, and blouses with smell. The main male star of the show was Presley Gerber, the elder brother of Kaia Gerber that has already shone in several fashion shows this week.

In the women’s styles the main focus is shifted to the waist: dresses into an hourglass shape, the straps, the color contrasts and cuts to emphasize this line is offered in completely different ways.
