Yuri Nikulin was not one war, but two. After graduation in 1939, 18-year-old Yuri was drafted into the army for service in the 115th anti-aircraft artillery regiment. During the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 anti-aircraft battery,
where he served Nikulin, protected air approaches to Leningrad.
In the spring of 1941, Yuri was preparing to
demobilization, but the Great Patriotic war, Nikulin continued
the service remained in Leningrad. “When I first killed a man who cannot
forget, ” recalled the actor. — We sat at the firing position and ate from the pot.
Suddenly next to our gun exploded shell and loader shrapnel tore
head. The man sits with a spoon in his hand, and the upper part of the head cut away, as
with a razor, clean.”
In 1943 Yuri took pneumonia and was sent
to the hospital. While recovering, again went in front in the 72nd separate
anti-aircraft division at Kolpino, where he met the victory. In 1946 Nikulin was
demobilized in the rank of Sergeant. For his services in fighting Yuri
was awarded medals “For courage”, “For defense of Leningrad” and “For victory over
Germany”.
On its front-line past Nikulin did not like to talk. “I can’t say that I belong to brave people. The whole thing
in how the fear manifested. With some tantrums happened — they cried
screamed, ran away. Other transferred outwardly calm,” recalled Yuri
Vladimirovich.
Among the many paintings in which he starred (mostly Comedy), there were two special. In 1975, the screens out the film “They fought for the Motherland” directed at the front of Sergei Bondarchuk, and in 1976 — the movie Alexis Herman “Twenty days without war”, the script for which was written by Konstantin Simonov. He, Simon, was chosen for the lead role Nikulina. The memories of the war always hurt Yuri Vladimirovich. Vladimir Etush is no secret that among the numerous military distinctions most dear to him is his first award received for military merit — order of the red Star. Before the war, Richter had only one year to study at the Shchukin school. However, despite a reservation, which was at all

Nineteen-year-old volunteer, who at the insistence of my mother during the school years studied German
language, first sent on four-month courses of military interpreters, and then prepared for service in the intelligence. However, to throw valuable fighter in the enemy’s rear for some reason changed his mind. Lieutenant Vladimir Etush was in infantry regiment, where he served
first translator in the regimental intelligence, and then became the operational assistant
the chief of staff.
Vladimir Etush took part in the fighting in Ossetia, in
the mountains of Caucasus, participated in the defense of the Ingush city of Malgobek and in the liberation
Rostov-on-don and Ukraine. In 1943 during the battle near the Ukrainian town of Tokmak Etush was seriously wounded. And after the hospital received second disability group and was the reserve.

Today, may 6, Vladimir Etush celebrates its 94 year. In all his life he hardly starred in films about the war. According to him, the war often dream of him and
today. “Probably because there I experienced the most terrible
days, — said Vladimir Abramovich. No play is not able to transmit
the horror of that time. We were starving, carrying the wounded, a night without sleep
