Ilze Liepa will dance to the music of Michel Legrand at the unique charity concert “happy to live”. The evening will be held on February 28 at the theatre “Helikon Opera” and gather superstars
Japanese and Russian dance, including the legendary Kabuki-za 82-year-old Yamada Midori, Ambassador
Japanese culture worldwide, was awarded the “Ruby
star – gold and silver rays”. On the new parquet of the theatre Mrs. Yamada will play the hits
Kabuki — for example, dance with fans — as she did throughout his unique career.

That evening on the stage of “Gelika” will
Shine international stars Ivan Vasiliev and Denis Rodkin, Maria
Vinogradova Anna Nikulina and other prima, premieres and leading soloists of the Bolshoi
and Mikhailovsky theatres. In their performance you will see classic hits
the Russian ballet.

The audience will see and modern dance: a Japanese choreographer and dancer Morihiro Iwata will show solo
“Interned”, and Ilze Liepa will dance room
“Meeting” to the music of Michel Legrand directed by Urius of Smoriginas.

The Director of the concert “joy to live” Andris Liepa says: “the program will work extremely

Evening in Moscow
musical theatre “Helikon-Opera” will be part of
project of the year Russia – Japan “Culture to live. Active longevity”,
bringing together medicine, science and the arts of the two countries. Part
funds from ticket sales will be transferred to the Japanese “Red cross” and
Fund “life Line” for the treatment of seriously ill children.

The project is timed to
the cross-year Russia — Japan and organized with the support of the Ministry
Culture, public relations Committee of Moscow, the Embassy of Japan and
Russian Academy of natural Sciences. It will last all the year 2018, and will bring together
many cultural and scientific events, exhibitions and concerts in Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Sochi and
Vladivostok.
