The stars once again took to the red carpet to reward the winners of the French review. The jubilee festival was rich with vivid premieres, but the best picture, according to the jury, was the film “the Square”. This film got the Palme d’or.

So, the jury prize in the main program was given to Andrey Zvyagintsev and his drama “Dislike”. Awards were given the Hollywood star Joaquin Phoenix (for the main role in the film “You were never here”) and Diane Kruger (for playing in the drama “To the limit”).The main struggle, according to critics, had to turn around between the films “Fatal temptation” and “120 BPM”. Not dropping specialists from the accounts and Michael Haneke, who went to Cannes record, and could get a third major award in his career. As a result, the winner of the Palme d’or was Ruben Östlund with the tape “Square”, which was not even considered as favorite.
Sofia Coppola was satisfied with the prize for best Director (“Fatal temptation”), and the Grand Prix of the contest has awarded Robin Campillo (“120 BPM”). Haneke remained without awards.
Not less debate caused and stellar outfits: celebrities of all kinds chose a truly Royal dress for the jubilee closing ceremony.
