At the age of 81 in his native St. Petersburg from a heart attack died, Anatoly Vasiliev, the founder of the ENSEMBLE “Singing guitar”.
A native of Leningrad, he founded the popular vocal-instrumental group in 1966, and in the early ‘ 70s, the team received all-Union popularity. At different times, the group gave a good start to many musicians and performers who later went to a single voyage. Among others – Irina Ponarovskaya, Yuri Antonov, albert Asadullin and many others.

In 1985 Vasiliev left the team, but in 2015 he returned as artistic Director.
That Anatoly Nikolaevich is no longer, reported representatives of the group on the official group page in the social network.
“Today, in the 82nd year of life died legendary musician Anatoly Vasiliev. His whole life was connected with music. Brainchild – VIA Singing guitar, the artistic Director of which he remained to the last hour. The bright memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of numerous students, musicians and lovers of good music” — said in a statement.
