This year the actor will have to compete for the statuette in the category “Best actor” for the film “the Manchester by the sea.” However, Casey may retire from the race because of his scandal.

The fact that the actress Constance Wu, star of the TV series “the Difficulties of assimilation” (Fresh Off the Boat), urges the deletion of Affleck from the list of nominees due to the fact that he had previously accused of sexual harassment. According to the actress, it is simply unacceptable that a man who previously showed illegal actions against women were fighting for the highest movie awards. “Man, himself striving for the women, was nominated for an Oscar! Because good acting is more than humanity and integrity! Because the poor boy needs help!”, says one sarcastic tweets actress. Constance also noted that her bigger concern is not that exclude or not Affleck of the Oscar race, but the example he gives to kids. Supposedly, the person who violated someone’s boundaries and not suffered punishment for it, all the same can achieve professional heights.

Recall that in the case of harassment Wu was referring to an incident that occurred in 2010.

Then right after filming “I’m still here” from two members of the crew took the actor to court for sexual harassment. In both cases Casey was able to negotiate with accusing his women to court.
