In his film “Zigzag of luck” directed by Eldar Ryazanov chose great actors: Yevgeny Leonov, Georgy Burkov, and Valentina Talyzina, Eugene Evstigneeva and Irina Skobtsevu. But after a while I almost regretted my choice. The fact that in the movie Evstigneev on the first day of shooting in my own way suggested Talyzina: “I’ve bought a quarter-liter bottle, sit after work?” To them were joined Burkov. Since then, three of them became inseparable. “On the part of alcohol for me Eugene with Zhora was, of course, can not keep up, I lacked only a couple of shots, recalls Talyzina. But Ryazanov got the full program for the entire company. “Zhenya, — he shouted at Evstigneeva, — today I couldn’t choose any sober again!” Then she turned to me: “And you, Talyzina, even a monster! Everyone in the theater will send a “cart”!” Burkov and then laughed: “Val, will you drink to the penny, and show on the ruble!” No “carts” Ryazanov, of course, in the theatre, no one was sent…”

Actually Eldar has always treated his actors with great care. On the set of “Old men-robbers” Talyzina Ryazanov asked to raise her rates (she had then low). Eldar turned to Nikulin: “Yura, come with us.” (And I must say, that if all actors, according to the ranking, had its own fixed rate, and pay no one else had the right.) Ryazanov took the actors in the actor’s Department “Mosfilm”. “In the dressing room with us all sing: “So the direction is this: Talyzina in the middle, we with Yura on the sides, go in, fall on your knees, forehead to the floor, and silently!”, — says Valentina Illarionovna. — Entered, dropped, and in the office of the chief acting division Adolf Gurevich talking on the phone in our direction not even looking. We froze and waiting. Gurevich talked, hung up and finally turned to us: “Go, I understand.” In the end, he bet I raised.”
