TV presenter Fekla Tolstaya became the guest of a reception at the German Embassy, the protagonist of which was a single canvas by the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky.

Early Kandinsky painting “the Promenade” from a private collection was brought to the residence of the German Ambassador for one evening to present a major exhibition of this artist. It opens in the Tretyakov gallery and includes two main masterpiece — the painting of Kandinsky “Composition VI” and “Composition VII” (paintings are kept in collections
The Tretyakov gallery and the Hermitage, and in recent times together were shown in Russia 27 years ago).

Russian artist Kandinsky was closely associated with Germany. He studied and then lived for many years in this country, so the choice of the German Embassy for the presentation of the project is not accidental.

Thekla Tolstaya was a big fan of Russian abstract art.
