The initiator of the festival was actress and producer Anna Tikhonova, the daughter of the famous artist and President
of fond Vyacheslava Tikhonova on Patriotic and spiritual and moral education. By the way, Vyacheslav Tikhonov adored grandchildren-twins and personally took them from the hospital (Thank and George were born in June 2005 in the marriage of Anne with the Director
Nicholas Voronovsky).

The festival was held at home of the popularly beloved artist in Pavlovskiy Posad. This area of Moscow suburbs was linked to the whole life Tikhonova: here in 1928 born in a family of mechanics and weaving factory and educator of kindergarten. In Pavlovskij-Possad the future sex symbol of Soviet cinema was in school (now in her memorial plaque) and in the vocational school, where he studied at Turner, and then worked at a local factory.

In 2018
the homeland star plans to open the monument. But a living memory of the actor has become a festival, the name of which is taken from the famous film Tikhonov. The festival was held in the Palace of culture and attracted not only the residents of the city (event was attended by over five thousand people), and Russian movie stars and filmmakers from Italy.

The programme of the competition screenings, workshops for children, concerts, creative meetings with Boris Grachevsky and Maxim Dunaevsky. At the close of the festival awarded the best movies and TV shows. The Chairman of the jury, film Director and screenwriter
Sergei Ursulyak, presenting the prizes, said that all
presented at the festival the films are worthy of top awards.
