In 2016, the festival “Circle of light” will be held from 23 to 27 September at six sites of the capital: at the Rowing channel, on VDNH, on the facades of the Bolshoi theatre and the Main building, one of the oldest universities in Russia – Lomonosov Moscow state University. Moscow international festival “Circle of Light”, is an annual event in which lighting designers and professionals in the field of audiovisual art transforming the architectural face of Moscow, using the technique of video mapping (projection on the facade).

Rowing canal, the organizers of the festival “Circle of light” has developed a multimedia show that will exceed all expectations. This year in addition to fountains, fire torches, lasers and light devices in the view will be used large-scale video projection. This combination is unique in the standards of not only Moscow but also the rest of the world’s largest festivals of light. Especially for this on KOs Rowing canal built a whole mini-city with a total area of over 6000 square metres (the height over 50 meters, a width of about 120 meters, weight more than 800 tons). Viewers of the show will go to virtual journey through the cities of Russia. To the accompaniment of hits of different years, they will meet the morning in a quiet resort town, then plunge into the bustle of the day the cities and spend the evening in the ever-awake city. All this will be possible thanks to the energy of water, fire, light and pyrotechnics.

The work of the participants of the international competition “Art vision” can be seen on the facades of the Bolshoi theatre (nomination “Classical mapping”) and Pavilion 1 at VDNH in the category “Modern”). Talented VJs from around the world will show their skills in the concert hall “Izvestiya Hall”. On 24 and 25 September will be held the educational program at the Digital October Center. Entrance to all the festival’s venues is free, except the Concert hall “Izvestia Hall” Digital October Center. To visit these sites and visitors should register on the festival website.
