The combined company “National Media Group”, Chairman of the Board of Directors which is Alina Kabaeva, and Discovery of “Media Alliance” bought the Russian portfolio of the Turner channels.

Now the company, which in particular operates a former gymnast and the Deputy of the state Duma, will distribute in Russia the news channel CNN and children’s channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

The cost of the transaction on purchase of Russian assets Turner has not been disclosed.
