In the Big hall of the Philharmonic at the St. Petersburg international gas forum in 2016, a charity gala-concert “the Imperial capital: St. Petersburg-Vienna” which was attended not only by famous classical musicians of the two cities, but also our famous actors: Maksim Matveyev, Marina Aleksandrova and Anton Shagin.

The idea of such an unusual spectacle belongs to the head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller, who back in the spring agreed with his Austrian colleague to create an unusual statement. In the course of the performance, two wind argue for the attention of beautiful women, and everyone is trying to lure her into your city or Vienna, or Petersburg – along the way, talking about the beauty, attractions and culture. Between the actors got into a serious fight in one of the episodes they even tried to go head to head for the attention of beautiful women, but nothing happened. Several times in the evening actors have changed outfits – at first, they were dressed in modern costumes, and then in a stylized coats and dress.

After two hours of colorful action hero Shagin speaks to Alexandrova: “Who do you pick of us?” But the answer is Eugene surprised the two brothers.

“Both cities deserve each other, but art and especially music is the best bridge connecting two great cultures,” said Aleksandrova from the scene.

The gala was Packed, and a few minutes I called the actors to the bows. It is worth noting that the show was a charity – all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the charity Fund, which for several years has partnered Yuri Bashmet.
