May 30 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Gogol Boulevard was the opening of the multimedia exhibition “Animators. Life behind the scenes.” The project is dedicated to the history and development of Russian animation over the past 25 years. The exhibition includes work by six internationally renowned Russian artists-animators — Svyatoslav Ushakov, Stepan Grudinina, Dmitry Rezchikova, Alina Tatar, Alexander Khramtsov and Alexey Chistov. The exhibits come illustrations, sketches and storyboards for cartoons, but also original works that are still left over and was not present for a wide range of audience.
The exhibition was opened by the curators – Natalia Grabar, Fatima Ibragimbekov, Maxim Polzikov and Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of modern art Vasily Tsereteli.
Among the guests were Konstantin Khabensky, Tatiana Arno, Leonid Bazhanov, Tinatin barkalaya, Belosheikin Svetlana, Alexey Bokov, Viktor and Natalia Bondarenko, Madina Gog, Tatiana Dvornikova, Rustam Ibragimbekov, Isolda Ishkhanishvili, Olga Lomonosova, Xenia Telyakovskii, Daria Fat, Aleksandra Tyagachev, Paul Safonov, Alexander Siradekian, Sofiko Shevardnadze and many others.
The exhibition runs until 3 July.
