World Wrestling Entertainment has officially confirmed the news on its website, writing: “WWE is saddened to learn that rocky Johnson (born Wade Douglas Bowles), the WWE Hall of Fame, former champion Team Champions of the World and the father of Dwayne “The Rock “Johnson, died at the age of 75 years.”
Sports journalist and editor of the newsletter Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer first published the news on Twitter, writing: “What terrible news, rocky Johnson died, the father of Dwayne. Our best wishes to Duane, Ricky, and ate the whole family.
Rocky was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, in the role of Wade Douglas Bowles began his career at the age of 16 years. He began his career in 1964, and then became the champion of the National Alliance against Georgia and has won several other Championships throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s.
He retired in 1991 but continued to coach his son, actor Dwayne, to become a fighter. In June 2018 Dwayne in Instagram thanked him for what he taught him how to be a father to his three daughters.

In March 2018 Dwayne gave my father a new car after rocky had surgery on her hip.
Duane continued to explain that his father was always hard on him when he was a child, saying, “He kicked me from one side of gym to the other years.”
He added: “I hated it when I was a kid, but appreciate it as a man. I was lucky that I was able to do this, and thank you for the boost in life!
Rocky was put in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.
He married Maivia ATA in 1970. They had a son Duane in 1972 and then divorced in 2003.
