Konstantin Khabensky again removed in a single project with Hollywood star. The actor has already starred with brad pitt in the film “world War Z” and with Angelina Jolie in the film “Particularly dangerous”. And now the actor will again be in the frame with Western stars.

The film “the Legend of the escape,” which began shooting recently, based on a true story,
what happened during the Second world war at the Sobibor death camp in
the territory of Poland. The Soviet Army Lieutenant, Alexander Pechersky, trapped in a concentration camp, for three weeks could plan
an international uprising of prisoners — the only successful large-scale uprising in the history of war. Killing the SS and their minions, hundreds of prisoners at the head of the Pechersk fled.

The script for the movie was written by Alexander Adabashyan, and it was directed by Andrei Malyukov, who directed “Saboteur”, “We from the future” and “Storm the gates”. The main role performed by Konstantin Khabensky (by the way, in the American film 80-ies of “Escape from Sobibor” role “Sasha” Pechersky was played by Rutger Hauer). But the commandant of a concentration camp oberscharfuhrer SS will play Frenchman Christophe Lambert, best known for the Hollywood film “the Sicilian”, “Mortal Kombat” and the TV series “Highlander”. Maria Kozhevnikova in this project will be reincarnated as a Dutch Jew. In other roles will star European cast, including Philip Reinhardt, before that, played in a Russian Comedy “Groom” together with Sergey Svetlakov.

Principal photography will take place in Lithuania, where the scenery of the concentration camps were built according to the drawings made by the participants
archeological excavations in Sobibor. “The legend of
escape is removed with the support of the Ministry of culture of Russia, Russian military
historical society, and with the participation of the Ministry of culture of Israel and
Fund Alexander Pechersky.
