SpaceX CEO Elon Musk posted a picture of his son from the singer Grimes.
34-year-old Claire Alice Boucher (second name Si Boucher), known in the music industry as singer Grimes and 51-year-old billionaire Elon Musk met in 2018. Around the same time, their romance began, and at the beginning of 2020 it became known that Grimes was pregnant – a little later, the performer herself confirmed the information that had appeared.
The couple's first-born, who became the sixth child for Musk, was born in May – the boy received perhaps the most unusual name among star families – X Æ A-12, which is pronounced Ex Ash Hey-Twelv. According to the artist, the letter X in the name means “unknown variable”, the abbreviation Æ stands for “artificial intelligence” and is written in elvish. The last part of the name, A-12, refers to an American high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft. How parents call their son in everyday life is still a mystery. Musk himself apparently calls his 2-year-old son simply X – at least that's how he captioned the new picture with the boy: “X in wonderful San Francisco.” Also, the letter X appears on the boy's personal pass to the social network building, recently acquired by his father.
The couple announced their separation in the fall of 2021, but after a few months Grimes and Ilona had a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl (Exa Dark Sideril) – the girl was carried by a surrogate mother. Her parents simply call her Y.
In total, Elon Musk has nine children. Married to his first wife Justine Wilson, five boys were born – first twins, twins Griffin and Xavier, then triplets – Damian, Saxon and Kai. The couple's first child, a son named Nevada, died at 10 weeks of age. In addition to two children from Grimes, Musk and a top manager of one of his companies, Siobhan Zilis, had twins in November 2021.
