In New Zealand, all ready to shoot a large-scale series “the Lord of the rings”.

The famous film adaptation of “the Lord of the rings” based on the eponymous novel by John. R. R. Tolkien was filmed by Director Peter Jackson and consisted of three films: “the fellowship of the ring” (2001), “the Two towers” (2002) and “return of the king” (2003). All three parts had a runaway success with critics and movie fans, raising the fantasy genre to a whole new level. Received 17 awards “Oscar”, including in the category “Best film”.

Whether a new project from Amazon Prime to Eclipse the glory of its predecessor, time will tell. The filming will start in three months and again will be held in New Zealand – the flow of tourists wishing to see filming locations of Lord of the rings and the famous village of Hobbiton, not dried up still. It is reported that the plot of the series will be different from the trilogy and will reveal new episodes of the legendary book. The budget of the show according to preliminary estimates, will amount to an incredible sum of one billion dollars.
