Famous film Director George Danelia has died after a long illness.

Director-the era that gave the audience a truly national films, has died on 89-m to year of life. “I step through Moscow”, “Autumn marathon”, “Afonya”, “Mimino”, “kin-DZA-DZA!” – these and other the Director will always be included in the Golden Fund of Russian cinema. To many of his film and state awards have always added the main – the love and recognition that money can’t buy.

Last February, Danelia was in the hospital with pneumonia. Later, because of deterioration, was transferred to ICU and connected to ventilator. Also, the Director was put in a medically induced coma.
