In
Moscow’s red square for the first time in the world Javier Fernandez played football at
ice along with the Russian fans. After mutual penalty shootout
friendship. In this case, not only between football and figure skating, but
Russian-Spanish.

Javier
Fernandez arrived in Moscow for the European Championships in figure skating, which
first held in Moscow. “It
my goal is to win the title of European champion for the sixth time in a row, Not so many people in the world were able to achieve
such results — said the skater. — This will be another step for the development of
Spanish figure skating.”

The event was attended by Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, who
Javier calls his idol. “In my childhood I was not interested in figure skating
and when I started to ride, then hadn’t gotten far. But it was the performance of Eugene
Plushenko, which I saw once, struck me and made me more serious
refer to my plans for the future — says Fernandez. — Plushenko together
with his coach Mishin came to Spain. And in summer sports camps we
not even once rode together. What he did on the ice was simply stunning.
On a couple of the competition, we were rivals and now we are good friends. It
simply amazing.”

Evgeni Plushenko with his hand
confessed that he always loved football, especially the Spanish, for his grace. Myself
demonstrated excellent mint collectible ball: “I have always used
football as a warm-up before competitions of figure skaters”, — said Eugene.
