In his native Belgium loïc Nottet impressed the judges of the show
“The voice” performance of the hit Rihanna “Diamonds”, and today 21-year-old musician already
entitled to be considered as a star of international level. On the eve of the concert in Moscow,
which will be held on December 4, 7days.ru talked to the singer about phobias,
dreams and prospects.
— Loïc, your father wanted you to become a football player, but you managed
to defend their interests, and you become a sought-after musician. Is it hard
I had to prove to parents that you know exactly what you want?
It was hard sometimes, because they’re not from a creative environment. Of course,
they would prefer that I went to University, found a stable job. But it
never was my dream. I just convinced them that this is my dream – we
only live once. And in dancing and singing, nothing criminal. So
they really had no choice.
— You are called the star of two popular all around the world music
contests “Eurovision” and “the Voice.” What do you think of these two shows
more helped you “progress” in the profession?
— I think both. In the “Voice” was my first experience on
television, my first time singing for such a large audience. Besides, I
first performed with the group before I sang only at home karaoke. Eurovision
look around the world, so it’s been incredibly responsible and
at the same time, it was a very valuable experience for me.
