Hosted a premiere of one of the most anticipated films of the year “Big”.
New work by Valery Todorovsky long before the premiere was not only welcome, but also the most secret film – plot details and the details of the shooting were kept in the strictest confidence. In the Russian hire “Big” will be released may 11, but thanks to the press conference with the creators of the film, the audience already know what they are waiting for an incredible sight.
The plot revolves around the fate of two dancers – Julia Olshansky (played by Margarita Simonova), who came to conquer Moscow from a small mining town, Carina Kournikova (Anna Isaeva) – girl from a wealthy family. Mentor novice dancers Galina M. Beletskaya (her role brilliantly performed by Alisa Freundlich) diligently promotes Julia, considering her most talented student. However, Karina’s mother does not intend to retreat – she is even ready to buy a major role for his daughter in the senior play. The confrontation between the two friends and at the same time rivals, backstage intrigue, love and betrayal, the hard way to the dream and, of course, stunningly beautiful scenes of the ballet, accompanied by the great music “Great.”
“We were faced with a very difficult task – to find not just the dancers, but these Actresses are able to convey a whole range of emotions of his heroines. Fortunately, we managed. But even more difficult was the search for girls, which embody the youthfulness of our characters – they had to possess not only the choreographic data, but to be like their adult prototypes” – says Valery Todorovsky and adds: “I was never balletomane, but I was just struck by the visual appeal of this art. There is so much that I was initially afraid that undertook this project. But it was getting late and we started to work. Now I am happy that have brought this complicated, but extremely interesting to the end.”
“I’m a professional ballet dancer, working at the Grand theatre in Warsaw. I went through ballet school and know the teachers for their students, like parents, they invest in them a lot of energy. My relationship with Yulia the heroine of Alice Freundlich transferred as realistic as possible – as if I was back in school,” says Margarita Simonova.
“When I first read the script, I was just amazed how accurately it reflects even small technical details of the ballet, the subtleties of the relationship of dancers and teachers. It’s our profession from the inside,” said Anna Isaeva.
One of the key roles in the film were given to the famous actress Valentina Telichkina, have not starred in a big movie.
