Participant of the show “the Voice” told about the health problems. At school David Todua, was beaten severely by a gang of juvenile thugs, and then the singer has problems with vision.

“Many years ago in Kemerovo I was attacked by a group of bullies-teen, fifteen. Beat much. As a result, I had detached the retina of the eye. I’ve been lying in the hospital, but recovered,” shared David.

The musician was able to stand on his feet and continued his creative career. He moved to the capital and worked in the musical, where he played a major role. Later, the artist set up his Studio and began to write music for other singers. But some time ago his condition worsened.

“Two years ago I had a relapse of the disease. I started to go blind. During this period, was already more than twenty operations”, – said the musician.

On the show Todua chose the team of Leonid Agutin, however, for many years familiar with Dima Bilan. “Somewhere in 2009-2010 we crossed a couple of times in the Studio, I sent him a song then he contacted me and I made him an arrangement of the hit “say something,” said David.

According to the singer, the disease was periodically returned to him, in these moments he could not go on stage and work. After that, the artist fell into a deep depression. “And here I called Dima and asked him to do a song for him “the Glider” Valery Leontiev in a new context for performance at “New wave”. Due to the fact that I’m a long time did not work, put into this song all the soul and pain,” said the musician.

According to Todua, the show “the Voice” helps him to cope with the disease and gives strength. “I believe that you can that the disease is temporary, it can and must be fought. This is exactly what I’m doing on “the Voice.” I still have operations,” said David.

The singer’s pain, his blood pressure rises. “To sing is actually very hard, but this is not visible,” – said Todua.
