The Christmas song was given the seventh place in the official charts of the UK. Note that for the 31-year history of composition, this result was achieved for the first time. Just a week of Christmas on the radio “Last Christmas” sounded more than 3.6 million times. That also is a record.

“The sudden death of George Michael encouraged fans to re-explore his work, paying tribute to his incredible talent. It is quite predictable, considering the season, Last Christmas, of course, became the most popular”, — said the Executive Director of the Official Charts Company, the Michael Talbot.
