Can our actress and singer look at the beach as impressive as at social events? Fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev has finally made its way to swimwear celebrities.

“Few know that for many centuries women were skinny-dipping. And not in the sea, and in the pond, lake, river. Seaside resorts and walk along the coast came into Vogue only in the XIX century. Then many noble ladies began to walk along the beach even in petticoats, but in the water none of them climb. And only in the second half of the nineteenth century there was a wooden cabin on wheels for changing that horses were taken into the sea. Ladies dressed in them of a summer walking dress in wool striped bathing suit to the knee in the form of wide trousers with a skirt on top, and this image was added also a bathing cap. Until exactly 70 years ago, in July 1946, invented the bikini. And the swimsuit began to shrink in size.
