Today, September 8, it became known that one of the most popular Russian hosts, Alexander Maslyakov, has passed away.

He stopped appearing on the stage of his native KVN in 2022. They say that at that time he already had cancer, which later worsened, which became the cause of death.

No less recognizable faces of the country's main button expressed their words of condolence and fond memories. Producer Konstantin Ernst:

“The loss is bitter and irreparable. For Channel One and for the whole country. He was from the first generation. From those who made the history of television, and without whom television is hard to imagine. He was always and always has been young.”

And Maslyakov's lifelong friend Yuli Gusman.

“For almost 60 years I was part of this wonderful history called KVN and part of the life, I hope, and fate of Alexander Vasilyevich. I can say that today a great man, a great artist, a great creator of programs, not only KVN, has passed away. At first he was just a host, then an artistic director, then president,” recalls Alexander Vasilyevich's friend.

It is worth noting that Yuliy also stopped being a member of the show's jury in 2022. Dmitry Khrustalev is currently the host of the show.
