In Lisbon hosted the second semifinal of the musical contest “Eurovision-2018”, which was organized by the Russian party Yulia Samoilova.

We will remind that 29-year-old singer Yulia Samoilova had to participate in “Eurovision-2017” in Kiev with the song “the Flame is Burning”, but because of Ukraine’s refusal to let singer in the country, Russia refused to participate in the contest. For the second attempt, the singer had composed a new song “I Won’t Break”, which, in the opinion of many experts and users of the network, clearly lost “the Flame is Burning”.

However, to the last hoped that Julia will still be able to reach the final. The miracle did not happen – Samoilova was not included among the 10 participants, which gave most of their votes, the audience and the jury. Thus, Russia for the first time since 2004, when it was introduced the qualifying semi-finals, missed the final of “Eurovision”.

Finalists of the first semi-final, held on 8 may were: Austria, Estonia, Cyprus, Lithuania, Israel, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Albania, Finland and Ireland. Today the finalists were artists from Serbia, Moldova, Hungary, Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Slovenia and the Netherlands. In the final of the 63rd song contest, which will be held may 12 to these countries will be Portugal, as the hostess of “Eurovision” this year, as well as the country’s “big five”, or the founders of the competition: Spain, UK, Italy, France and Germany.
