One of the most talked about news in the British press.
Wife of Charles III Camilla intends to change her title after her husband's coronation in May. However, this is contrary to the wishes of her late mother-in-law.
Shortly before her death, Elizabeth II expressed a formal desire to confer on Camilla the title of Queen Consort, although at the conclusion of her marriage to the then Prince of Wales Charles (in 2005), a statement from Buckingham Palace stated that she would hold the title of Princess Consort when Charles ascended to the throne.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the first sign of the coming change was the update of the name of the charity “The Queen's Reading Room” (The Queen's Reading Room), which was previously called the “Reading Room of the Duchess of Cornwall” (The Duchess of Cornwall's Reading Room).
Along with this, major British publications have completely stopped using the prefix “consort” in publications about Camilla Parker-Bowles.
