Alexander Lerman — Russian singer, wonderful musician and composer, who worked in the ensemble “Buffoons”, “Wind of change” and rock group “Araks” and “Jolly fellows”, where he sang with then with aspiring singer Alla Pugacheva. 10.10.2011, shortly before his 60th birthday, Lerman died. It happened at night, in his house, in Newark. The cause of death of Alexander Lerman in the media is not discussed, however, how died a scientist, singer and composer, who stood at the origins of Soviet rock, evidence of its disease.

The whole life of Alexander Lerman (1952-2011) is divided into two parts: American and Soviet. In Russia Lerman — a student at Vilnius University, a musician, who stood at the origins of the Soviet rock. In the USA it is known as a linguist, specializing in Indo-European Philology.

Despite the fact that his musical career in the States Alexander to build didn’t in 1994, and in 1998 he, together with “Araks” has released two new album, the songs for which were written back in the seventies. Then Lerman participated in the creation of the rock Opera “the Fly-Tsokotukha”, which was traditionally Russian folk music.

There he studied Indo-European Philology. In Newark the Professor lived with his wife Susan (1952), who worked with him, philologist, and two sons Ilya (1984) and Nicholas (1993).
