Actor Yuri Solomin has become known for his role of Pavel Andreevich Koltsov in the movie “the Adjutant of his Excellency”. Owing to this work he was invited to play in the Soviet-Japanese film “Dersu Uzala” directed by Akira Kurasawa, which received the “Oscar” in 1976.

Yuri Solomin survived clinical death. During gastric lavage at the most prestigious hospital he broke appendicitis. However, the doctors didn’t notice and sent home. The actor had to call an ambulance. Medics took him to a regular hospital where he was saved from death.

In 2002, the actor had to face terrible loss – gone from the life of his brother. He became ill on stage, where he played a major role. Before his death, Yuri Mefodyevich was a vision. Solomin said that that early morning at the time and did not his younger brother.

“I woke up this morning at the cottage, I thought about Vitale. Look – I have my father looking at me. And I sit and look at him,” recalled the artist.
