Today in Paris mark the end of fashion Week, and this day and this time waited with a special feeling. Great show Chanel has always been a part of the finale of this fashion marathon, but today the heart of every member of the Grand Palais stood not only in anticipation of another spectacular performance with big scenery, but also from sadness — presentation of the autumn-winter collection of Chanel was the first fashion show of the brand after the death of its creative Director Karl Lagerfeld. To remember the Maestro and appreciate his latest creations come Claudia Schiffer, which debuted on the catwalk just at Lagerfeld, Monica Bellucci, Naomi Campbell, Kristin Stewart, Marion Cotillar, Irina Starshenbaum and many others.
On the podium in this special day out with Penelope Cruz, the latest Muse of the designer, who has become the face of the brand last year, and Cara Delevingne (model, incidentally, came to support her beloved Ashley Benson) and Kaia Gerber.
This time the interiors of the Grand Palais was turned into an Alpine village with traditional chalets. One Chalet Gardenia, models and went to the makeshift podium, covered in artificial snow, and complements this winter landscape Wallpaper with silhouettes of the mountain peaks.
The invitation to the show, too many for sure will keep as a relic — the turnover posted a pencil sketch with the image of Karl Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel inscription and The Beat Goes On (which roughly translates as “Life goes on”).
At the end of the parade participants honored the memory of the designer with a moment of silence — instead of the final passage of all the models lined up in a row, but this time in Grand Palais sounded recording with voice Lagerfeld.
In his latest collection, the designer did not regret bright colors, which is impressive especially considering that indestructible base for the past seasons remained shades of cream, pastel pink and solid black, white and grey (remember the couture show last summer) outfits.
The invasion began in the spring-summer collection, where yellow and blue shades harmonize with the cloudless sky and clean sand (decoration of the show was the seaside). Today on the podium was demonstrated the combination of purple and blue, bright pink suit with a pelerine, shiny foxiewire jackets and red jackets.
However, this color swept across the quiet village at the end of the show, as if confirming the words of the invitation, returning pulsation of life and charging everyone with energy.
Everything began with a rather restrained classic images and color palette, which again echoes selected for display decoration. The collection had a lot of cream, brown and beige colors — typical colors for a grating and an Alpine Chalet.
An important role in the collection and playing patterns: in addition to traditional cell and “goose paws”, the clothes were diamonds, ovals, and swirls are popular for the autumn-winter wardrobe pattern “herringbone”.
