But yet we plan to bury here (in San Diego)”, — TASS quoted the wife of Vladimir Shainsky. Svetlana said that if a proposal from Russia concerning a burial place of the composer, she will consider them. The widow also said that the body of the composer is to be cremated. On the death of the legendary musician who composed dozens of popular children’s songs and wrote the music for the cartoons, it became known yesterday.

According to Shainskiy, my husband was admitted to hospital on 15 December. “We are constantly visited him, sat all day next. 24 December, we spent a lot of time together. But he was all those days unconscious. That last evening my daughter and I left very late, and 02:10 the night he died. We got a call at five in the morning from the hospital and we came”, — says Svetlana.

Vladimir Shainsky was born on 12 Dec 1925 in Baku. At the age of 11 and began to study at musical school on a violin class. However, beginning in 1941, the war interrupted the training Shainsky. He and his family evacuated to Tashkent. There he continued his musical education at the Tashkent Conservatory, where he studied until 1943 when he was drafted. After the war in 1945 he entered the Moscow Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky for orchestra faculty.

The last years of his life Shainsky, who was seriously ill, spent in America. “We moved at the end of 2007, said the national artist in an interview with “the Komsomolky truth” in 2015. — Initially bought an apartment here, but been torn in two cities: a few months here, a few in Moscow. But constantly living in America for only two years. It is difficult to ride — age. Why are we so far? First, here daughter was studying. Secondly, there are all conditions that a person could prolong his life. Not only hospital but also medical care, special medical devices that are needed after a surgery to remove the organ, which I had in 2007. In Russia there are no fixtures and to order them was very difficult — the result is not at all”.
