TV presenter Natalie Nevedrova together with the crew of the travel show “heads and Tails” recently visited one of the most dangerous cities in the world — San Salvador. Shooting one of the locations of issue took place in this prison where the detained murderers and rapists, including the clan “Mara Salvatrucha”, on account of which hundreds of people killed. For delicate and sensitive presenter to look into the eyes of brutal murderers from the group “MS-13” became a serious test.
In the planned mode, the TV group carried out the shooting on the territory of the notorious correctional facility, was already filmed the planned material for the future story and interviews with those who are serving their punishment. When they finished the work, turned off the camera and was about to leave the building, they were attacked by a local bandit. The man was extremely outraged by the presence in the criminal “lair” of the press and cameras. With knife in hand he demanded the return of the footage, threatening that otherwise they do not leave the city alive.
Team members of the “eagle and tails” literally teetered on the brink of life and death: every stroke of the knife, nervous movement aggressive men are reminded that their fortunes in this moment only from him. It was clear that this city is lawless, the people here are used to kill. This voltage almost impossible to withstand, TV presenter Natalie Nevedrova admitted later that fear she began the real hysterics. The bandit pushed the lead frightened, screaming at her.
“In an interview with one of the prisoners told me how stabbed his mother, ten brothers and a younger three year old sister because he was ordered, — with horror remembers Natalie Nevedrova. Assassins are divided by their ranking. Someone who is listed more murders or complexities gets an upgrade. These criminals have committed horrendous crimes, and worst of all that none of them repented!”
Fortunately, the crew was accompanied by two guards, who were able to influence the conflict, but the price of a peace settlement is the removal of the records of the attack. Local residents reported that this is a normal story when arrives some crew.
“Gang members “devoured” my eyes, I felt a live target. An eerie feeling. If not for protection, scared to even think what would happen to us, — told the TV presenter. — It’s really a hell of a town, even having the gold card, you are in constant fear for my life.”

“We filmed this production in urban slums, we were interested in the stories of ordinary people who live in the neighborhood with the bandits. At some point we turned on one of city streets where convulsing fought a wounded boy. Very young, 15-16 years old. He died just a few minute before the arrival of the ambulance right in front of us”, nervously says the leading.
The preparation for filming in San Salvador took a lot of effort: only talks about filming in the prison was conducted over six months. In its work, the team of the project “heads and Tails” focused on documentary films taken by the level of “force” and “National Geographic”. This issue has become one of the most dangerous in the history of the popular program “heads and Tails”.
