Vera Vasilyeva has lived with her husband, actor Vladimir Ushakov for more than 50 years, and starred in 46 films — her life took place both in personal and in professional terms. And only children she had. That all changed in one day. The famous actress spoke for the first time 7days.ru like found a new family.

“It was in the last years of his life, Volodya, when he was already seriously ill, — tells Vera Vasilyeva. — Without a husband I was completely helpless in the face of problems. I was exhausted. And in this difficult period in my life came the Dasha. One winter, when the husband once again was in the hospital, I could barely walk with heavy bags on a dark street. To take a taxi this far, I could not afford, because the actor’s salary is very modest. Suddenly, someone gently took me by the elbow. I looked back in front of me stood a pretty girl: “excuse me, I will help you”. Took my heavy bag, carried to the hospital… When that cold evening I returned home from the hospital, for the first time thought, “Maybe now everything would be different if I had decided to have children. They would have supported, helped…”

They gradually Dasha began to communicate more and more, the girl introduced Vasilyev with his parents, and even bought a used car to carry the actress.

“Now I can’t imagine my life without her. — smiles Vera. Foreign trips, family holidays, great care of me, the constant gifts she! And most importantly, I feel her love… I was not a mother, but a rare daughter of such care, like grace to me… But the miracles in my life is not over. Dasha had a daughter, Sveta. I want to note that before I saw it, never felt emotion or some special feelings for the children. There was nothing but fear, they always want something, cry, indulge… And suddenly, unwittingly began to understand that falling in love with this girl. And when she grew up, somehow naturally started calling me “grandma.” And I consider her my granddaughter”.
