Last summer, August 8, during the inspection in a cafe “Victoria” in Salekhard, the staff attacked the crew of “Revizorro”.

During the fight for the operators of the crew were injured, one of the operators Valentin Gerasimov was in the hospital with the diagnosis closed cherepno-a brain trauma. Was also damaged survey equipment. The leading program of Fly Elena had to go through rehab after a nervous breakdown in one of clinics of Moscow.

The investigative Department for the city of Salekhard investigative Department of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district opened a criminal case under signs of crime envisaged by part 3 of article 144 of the criminal code (obstruction of the lawful professional activities of journalists, accompanied with violence). The investigation found that the actions of the owner of the café Elvira Arndt, and two members of the staff were sent on obstruction of the lawful professional activities of journalists by forcing them to abandon the dissemination of information obtained through their professional activities.

During the investigation carried out it is judicial-medical examination of the victim, questioned 12 witnesses, held on 7 confrontations.

3 June at 17:00 Salekhard city court has appointed punishment to the attackers. Managing cafe “Victoria” Narziev sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment conditionally, the owner of the cafe Arndt and employee of the institution Ashurov received, respectively, 1.5 years and 6 months of imprisonment conditionally.

The case was the first case, when instituted under part 3 of article 144 of the criminal code, the criminal case ended in a conviction.
