The leadership contest said that and hopes that the results of the competition can make all:

“Eurovision” is a contest. It can only be one winner. We understand that not everyone agrees with the results of the competition this year, however, in the competition where the results are based on subjective opinion, there will always be people who will be unhappy.

The statement said that Jamal won with broad support from both the jury and the audience:

DAMI Im from Australia won the jury vote, Russian Sergey Lazarev became the first following the results of the televoting. They both deserve respect for their great performances and great songs and that reacted to his defeat with great dignity. Even though they did not win the contest, but met defeat as the winners. We respect and appreciate them for it.

We will remind, the victory of the Ukrainian singer Jamala, who performed the song “1944” with political overtones, caused a strong reaction from the public, and on the website change.org there was a petition with a call to review the results of the contest, which was signed by more than 200 thousand people.
