The first episode of the fourth season of “Sherlock” was shown 1st Jan. Ahead of us two more series of the detective story, but so far it is not known whether they will last.

Previously, Benedict Cumberbatch talked about the fact that the fourth season will be the final and even called it “the end of an era”. Today, however, one of the authors of the series have made it clear that the continuation is possible.

“We are not ready immediately at the conclusion of the fourth season to take up a new one. When you check out all the episodes, you will understand what I mean”, said Steven Moffat.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moffat explained, than they were guided when they killed the character the actress Amanda Abbington not in the final, and in the first episode of the new season: “We very long argued, when we let go of Mary. We wanted to do it differently. Now we have to see what kind of relationship will Sherlock and John in the next two years.”
