“The reopening of the investigation of the criminal case initiated on the fact of murder on 6 October 1991 at the Palace of sports “Jubilee” singer Igor Talkova” – said Sergey Kapitonov, an official representative of the St. Petersburg Central Board of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

We will remind, in the current investigation, the crime was committed by Valery Shlafman, who worked as an administrator talc.

“The investigation has collected sufficient evidence on the basis of which 6 may 1992 and 18 March 1993, the decision about attraction as the accused Valery Shlafman in the murder of Igor Talkova by negligence, and in absentia preventive measure in the form of detention. Established in January 1992 Shlyafman left for permanent residence in the State of Israel”,

said Kapitonov.

March 19, 1993, the criminal case was suspended because the defendant has evaded investigation or trial. 3 November 2018 St. Petersburg division of the TFR resumed its investigation of this criminal case.

“Previously, the victim recognized the Talkov mother, but now she died. The result satisfied the petition of Tatiana Talc, widow of Igor Talkova, to recognize her victim as the mother of the singer is dead”

– said Kapitonov.

The resumption of criminal proceedings is of a technical nature. After recognized the victim Tatyana Talkova and its lawyers will familiarise with all materials of the case, would be suspended again – until, while Valery Shlyafman in absentia arrested by court, does not fall into the hands of Russian justice.
