Kate Middleton and the Prince William decided to move from noisy London to the city. The couple now live in Kensington Palace on the west side of the city, and in the fall they want to move to Adelaide Cottage, located next to Windsor Castle, where 96-year-old Elizabeth ll lives.
Their new home is quite modest by royal standards – there are only four in the cottage bedrooms, living room and technical rooms. The couple explained their decision by the fact that they want to lead a normal family life and raise children away from the bustle of the city.
But the people of Britain were still unhappy. The leader of the anti-monarchist party is outraged that the dukes are moving into a new home when ordinary citizens are struggling with electricity bills and suffering from inflation. After all, the spouses do not refuse Kensington Palace and the 10-room Anmer Hall mansion in Norfolk. And all these premises must be constantly maintained, heated and protected.
