Stamps with the image of the deceased music legend David Bowie will appear in the Royal mail UK. As the portal Artnet, the Briton will become the first solo artist whose image it was decided to print stamps for the Royal mail.
The brand will arrive in March of this year, six out of ten copies of album covers (such as Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane), and others – dedicated to the legendary images of Bowie made during his tour.
Before the Royal mail has released stamps dedicated to the groups Pink Floyd and the Beatles, but this is the first time they will have a solo performer. Print stamps with Bowie, it was decided in honor of his seventieth birthday, which would take place this year.
Recall that David died at the age of 69 from liver cancer just a few days after the release of his 25 solo albums.
