Deputy permanent representative of the Republic of Kalmykia Baatr Lidzhiev appealed to the management of the TNT channel showing the series “the Street.” The official wrote a letter, demanding an apology for one episode, which showed a Buddhist statue sitting on it naked girl. According to lidzhieva, these images offend the feelings of believers. The politician noted that he received a large number of complaints from local residents, angered by this scene.

“Young people in dialogue use Buddhist statue, to which is attached the figurine of a naked woman, permitted this inappropriate comparison, moving to the margin, desecrating the Shrine. In Kalmykia insist on the removal of the episode from the series. Otherwise, the local authorities are going to apply to the judicial and law enforcement agencies.
