The movie “Aladdin” was launched above expectations and is a leader in worldwide box office – this film has received, for the most part, thanks to actor will Smith.

Although it is around a 50-year-old actor long before the premiere of the film the scandal broke – perhaps learned that will Smith will play the famous role of Genie, fans of the movie embraced his candidacy with hostility and laughed at him, demanding to replace the star. But, as it turned out, it performed brilliantly on Smith’s role and “leaves” the entire film. In Russia the film was released last Thursday.

“Aladdin” was another Disney adaptation of his own animated film, released in 1992. Aladdin, Jasmine, Agrabah, a flying carpet… the Story is based on an Eastern fairy tale, familiar to many from childhood: street thief Aladdin (MENA Massoud) by chance becomes the owner of a magic lamp and releases her powerful wizard Genie (will Smith) to help him to fulfill a major dream of Aladdin to marry the Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott).

As in previously released inadaptation cartoon “Cinderella”, “beauty and the beast,” “Dumbo,” “Aladdin,” there are virtually no noticeable differences from the animated version. Now, however, the role of a submissive Oriental Princess Jasmine completely changed – in favor of feminist trends in society, the heroine Naomi Scott, trying to escape their “Golden cage”, acting much more boldly and closer to the finale becomes almost the main hero of the story.

Aladdin performed by the little-known Egyptian actor MENA Massoud gives the order to its animated predecessor. He clearly lacks the spirit of rebellion, reckless passion for risk and notes of charm that everyone so loved in the cartoon. Although the Duo Massoud and Smith in the development of the plot looks very organic and well straighten position.

The main villain of the story, Nemesis of Aladdin and his friends vizier Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) can be considered the main failure of the film adaptation. Character Kenzari failed completely – it Jafar doesn’t look as cool and unscrupulous as it was in version 92 and how to be a hero. Not to say that Jafar without much villainous charisma spoils, but the overall impression of the film, of course, affected.

And again about who is responsible in “Aladdin” for all the fun – this role will Smith will anchor his filmography as one of the best in the last few years. Yeah, maybe he almost made it to the “cartoon” Robin Williams, but it is “nastroenie” to repeat the image and made it Genie new and unique. Smith managed to breathe such indomitable energy and life in his character that he sweeps like a hurricane – bright, perky, filling a space and will not leave you indifferent. Musical numbers performed by the Genie – the individual masterpieces that you can review to see all the details, like some Grand video. In a word, for the sake of effervescent will Smith, definitely worth to see in the new movie “Aladdin”.

Director guy Ritchie, in General, managed to create a light family movie, with beautiful scenery and costumes, great camera work and soundtrack. As you know, the East – business thin, and the film “Aladdin” is written in a rather broad sweeping strokes. But it certainly cannot be considered a disadvantage – after all, the movie age rating “6+” in principle does not imply a particular depth of the narrative, especially when we are talking about, perhaps, the most unusual animation, and now the Disney film project.
